Frequently Asked Questions

Is my digital art AI generated?

No — My digital artwork is drawn freehand in Procreate on my iPad using an Apple Pencil. Think of the canvas as digital paper and the pencil as a digital pencil. As I draw I choose from a variety of brushes, but the actual drawing is all done by hand: rough sketch, line work, and coloring. For some symmetrical pieces, I’ll use Procreate’s “symmetry tool”, which mirrors what I draw on one side to the other for a perfectly aligned finish. Outside of that, everything is truly freehand.

Did I go to school to learn how to draw?

No — I began teaching myself at 6 years old, inspired by my oldest brother’s artistic skill, and I haven’t stopped drawing since! Over the years I’ve improved through consistency, practice, and by experiencing other artists’ work.

Are commissions open continuously?

No — I prefer to open commissions periodically rather than continuously. Drawing is primarily my hobby and a joy activity, so I like to protect that. That said, I do love collaborating and creating original pieces for people who want something made just for them. When commissions are open, I work best with creative freedom and minimal restriction, but I will make sure you end up with a piece you genuinely love.
