Amira Caire, also known as Amiradescent, is an independent artist based in Madison, WI. Her artistic path began at age 6, immersing herself daily in pencil sketching and coloring, which grew into a lifelong creative practice. Now, she creates most of her work digitally, incorporating her free-hand technique into every piece.
Amira’s work is driven by a love of bold color, softness, detail, and exploration, with an emphasis on creative freedom. Rather than working within a single art style, she moves fluidly between them, mostly drawing faces and other figures along the way, with new styles always on the horizon. Her process varies between building a piece from scratch off an image in her mind, and drawing from reference to sharpen her observational drawing skills. The result is a body of work that feels modern and contemporary, majority figurative, spanning a wide range of styles and color palettes.
